The case of Child Fund International and World Vision India

Most of us have seen advertisements on TV, internet, magazine, newspapers and other media about “charities” that work for needy children, social causes, poorer sections of the society etc. The images of impoverished children are heartbreaking and you feel like contributing, even if it is a small amount, towards the cause of those in need. However, several questions arise, like who are these so-called charities, why are they so interested in uplifting the poor, and more importantly, where do they spend the money collected in donations? This article strives to answer these questions

Child Fund International

This organization was formerly known as Christian Children’s Fund. They are a Christian organization with the goal of converting Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists and people of other religion in India into Christians. It is a form of crusade (Christian war) with the single goal of converting India into a Christian nation. The “charity” part is just a front for their heinous intentions in the background.

The fact that they changed their name to remove the Christian part is proof that they are trying to deceive the public, and using common person’s money to destroy their valuable culture, traditions and faith.

Do they actually support the poor and the under-privileged Children? They do provide them some alms which are meager, in return of converting their faith. A very small percentage of the money goes towards this, and that too for wrong reasons. Children still remain malnourished and are often subjected to abuse, including sexual abuse by Christian priests, that is so prevalent in the Christian church.

ImageAt the time of writing this article, Sridevi – the well-known Indian movie actress —  has been recruited   to raise funds for this organization. This is likely to boost the fundraising and hence increase the pressure on non-Christians to convert. It is pathetic that a leading public figure is helping anti-social and anti-national organizations. Does Sridevi not know about the intentions of this organization, or has she sold her soul in return of money? These are questions that only Sridevi can answer…

World Vision India

This is another charity-in-disguise that has launched a crusade against India and its heritage by converting everyone into Christians. The snapshot of their webpage (at the time of writing this article) is shown here and speaks of itself. Their goal is to collect money from the same people who they intend to harm.world_vision_india_christian_convert

Note how a Hindu child is depicted in the picture, which gives the impression to the unsuspecting public that the money is going towards the general population, when the real intention is to convert the poor into Christians.

Many more…

The above two organizations are not alone. Hundreds of such “charitable” organizations, Churches, Christian missionaries, and other Christian organizations have popped up after getting encouragement from the administration of Antonia Edvige Albina Maino (Sonia Gandhi).

The goal of these organizations is to make India a Christian nation on the direction of Pope and other Christian leaders.

Our donations at work… against us

The money that we donate to these organizations ends up working against us, our families and against the future of our own children. The intention of this article is to inform the general public about the real reason of the existence of these organizations, and to let people know how their money is being used. Please make your decisions wisely before contributing to any organization.

If you have already donated to one of these organizations, you may ask them to return your donation and contribute elsewhere to a just cause.

AFRE’s stance on this matter

AFRE strongly condemns any actions towards illegal Christian conversions. Taking advantage of the poor is a clear and direct violation of basic human rights and is not only unethical, immoral, and against the teachings of Christ, but is also punishable according to local and international laws.

AFRE condemns the internet censorship in India, and the recent ban on online accounts and webpages. Please sign this petition to the central government in India to oppose internet censorship.

Thank you!

After the word got out about Aamir Khan’s Satyamev Jayate collecting donations for building a Mosque (including AFRE’s poting here) , the TV show’s website reported that the news is incorrect. The statement from Satyamev Jayate’s website is shown below:

” It has come to our notice that perhaps some vested interests are trying to misguide the people at large about our show Satyamev Jayate and the organisations that we choose to support through our show. We would like to place on record that in our episode no.4, which was on health care, we have highlighted and supported the organisation called Humanity Trust, Hanspukur, West Bengal and not Humanity Trust, Chennai. Humanity Trust, Hanspukur, West Bengal, is a charitable hospital run by Dr. Ajoy Mistry and his mother, Subhashini Mistry. Humanity Trust, Hanspukur, West Bengal is doing excellent work in the field of health care and provides free medical facilities to the poor. We urge you to visit to know more about the work that they are doing and we urge you to support them in any way that you can. I would request supporters of our show to circulate this message so as to remove any misinformation that may have been spread by some mischief makers. Love. Aamir.”

While Aamir Khan blames “vested interests” to “misguide the people”, the Humanity Trust website blames Aamir Khan and his show. According to the website “there is a miss communication done in the TV Program conducted by Mr. Amir Khan”.

The following screenshot of the Humanity Trust website puts all arguments to rest (click to enlarge):

Further, there is the issue of disclosure — the statement does not explicitly confirm that the funds are only used for legit purposes of helping the under-privileged, nor does it say whether Aamir Khan or his team/show have dictated charities how to use the funds. A full and detailed disclosure is necessary when dealing with public funds.

United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (image credit: Wikipedia)

This is the first article in series of articles by AFRE on the persecution of Hindus. This article focuses on the persecution of Hindus, a minority group in the USA, specifically by the Federal Government of the United States of America.

United States Commission on International Religious Freedom — Our tax dollars at work AGAINST minority groups

The United States of America prides itself in offering liberty, justice, freedom, and equality to its residents. AFRE does agree that the various government bodies, as well as many Americans try to live by these principles. However, these principles are are not always upheld. The case in point is the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), a part of the United States Federal Government sponsored by our tax dollars.

While the USCIRF boasts itself to be an independent, bipartisan U.S. federal government commission, in reality it has turned out to be a taxpayer sponsored advocate of the Christian right. The commissioners of USCIRF are predominantly white Christians, with only two Muslims and one Jewish. Almost all the commissioners, including those of Islamic background, are known to belong to the right-wing of their respective religious beliefs. This fact alone is sufficient to prove that they have are not impartial, and and have little concern, if any, for other religions including Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism etc.

Here are some examples:

Dr. Katrina Lantos Swett (Chair): Belongs to the American Latter Day Saints (Mormon Church).

Mary Ann Glendon (Vice Chair): Has a long list of string ties to Christian/right-wing groups; only are few are listed here (1) been the US Ambassador to the Holy See (episcopal jurisdiction of the Catholic Church in Rome)  in 2008-2009 (2) appointed by Pope John Paul II as the  President of the Roman Catholic Church’s Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences (3)   Vatican representative to the international 1995 Beijing Conference on Women  (4) supporter of Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential election

Elliott Abrams (Commissioner): A well known conservative according to the RightWeb (Institute of policy studies).

Robert P. George (Commissioner): “The Conservative-Christian Big Thinker” according to New York Times.

Rev. William Shaw (Vice Chair): The name says it all; a minister in Christian Church; former elected President of National Baptist Convention and pastor of White Rock Baptist Church in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Azizah al-Hibri (Commissioner): A pro-Islamist; founder and president of “KARAMAH: Muslim Women Lawyers for Human Rights”, guest-editor of a special volume on Islam for the “Journal of Law and Religion”, and advisor to the documentary “Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet” (2002).

Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser (Commissioner): A pro-Islamist sunni Muslim; founder of  American Islamic Forum for Democracy, and helped establish Mosques in many cities using locally raised funds. A media watchdog group Media Matters for America (MMfA) criticized Jasser’s lack of credentials and his “right-wing rhetoric”.

Sam Gejdenson (Commissioner): Belongs to the Jewish faith.

What does this mean? It simply means that there is no representation of any of the minority religions in America, including that from Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs. This is consistently reflected in the Annual reports of the USCIRF. The reports have been consistently anti-Hindu and anti-Sikh to say the least. For example:

  1. The riots that erupted after the horrific murder of Hindu pilgrims by a Muslim mob in Godhra, India, has been portrayed as anti-Muslim! The USCIRF wants to deny the basic right of survival to the Hindus.
  2. The anti-Sikh riots after the murder of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi were portrayed as Hindu-Sikh riots! USCIRF shuts its eyes to the fact the riots were initiated by Rajiv Gandhi, son of Indira Gandhi, as a revenge of his mother’s death. The Nanavati Commission, established for an independent investigation of the riots confirms that (a) The riots were initiated by members of the Indira Gandhi’s Congress Party (b) Hindu organizations like Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) helped in preventing the violence and assisting the Sikh victims, and (c) president Zail Singh, a Sikh, praised the RSS for its work during and after the riots. USCIRF tends to deny the report of an independent commission of a democratic nation!

So why exactly is USCIRF biased towards Christians? The question has been answered in-depth in an article published in the Huffington Post, which details the history of its creation. According to the article it is “institutionalized license for evangelical outfits driven to gain converts around the globe.” and “where vulnerable populations (read poorest of the poor) are targeted for conversion through coercive means such as access to jobs, health care or education — access, of course, depending on accepting as Savior the “right God.”

About us: Americans for Freedom of Religious Expression (AFRE) is a global organization that promotes religious freedom around the world.

A new TV show in India, Satyamev Jayate, has been very popular. It claims to create awareness about social issues in India, and is hosted by film actor Aamir Khan.

While the show pretends to be secular and pro-India, it has been learned that it is mainly a front for maligning India and showing its dirt to the rest of the world. While developed nations in the west try to put their best foot forward, Mr Khan has chosen to do quite the opposite… Do we see any shows on skid row in Los Angeles orin other major cities in the USA? Is there any newspaper, TV channel or media outlet in India that publishes the vast abuses of Children and women by the Church. Do they talk about the peaceful pilgrims being burned alive in Godhra?

It is further learned that the donations collected by Satyamev Jayate are used for promoting a particular religion — that of Mr Khan!! The donations have been diverted to an organization called the Humanity Trust, which, according to its website, will use the funds to build a Mosque. This is clearly a case of defrauding the viewers of this widely popular show.

The screenshot from the website of Humanity Trust is included below for reference (please click to see full-sized image) :

Further, the webpage from Axis Bank that collects donations for Satyamev Jayate is also shown below for reference (please click to see full-sized image). It clearly shows that the donations are diverted towards the Humanity Trust.
